Katowice tram network to undergo major changes due to track repairs

Starting November 4, 2026, significant tram service changes will occur in Katowice due to track modernization at Plac Wolności and reconstruction near the Zawodzie and Szopienice-Burowiec border.

Key service adjustments include the suspension of lines 0 and 46, and a new schedule for line 6. Several other lines will operate on altered routes, including lines 7, 11, 13, 15, 20, and 23. Specifically, line 15 will run on a shortened route between Zagórze and Sosnowiec, meaning it will no longer travel between Sosnowiec and Katowice. Replacement bus services will be introduced on certain sections to mitigate the impact of the construction.
