Katrina Laurila's Rugby Photo Showcased at World Rugby Museum
Kelowna‑born photographer Katrina Laurila had a picture of a university rugby match shortlisted for the Rugby Journal's Rugby Photographer of the Year contest. Her image, taken in Kelowna during a 2025 game between Trinity Western University and the University of British Columbia Okanagan, placed in the top 20 of the landscape category and is now on display at the World Rugby Museum in Twickenham, England.
Laurila, a recent graduate who completed an internship with U Sports, said she could not travel to England for the awards ceremony but is pleased that her work is being seen internationally.
