Katrineholm police investigate horse sabotage and cruelty

Police in Katrineholm are investigating a series of sabotage incidents and acts of cruelty targeting horses at the Harbacken riding school. The incidents, which began in late July and early August, involved the cutting of tails on several horses in a manner that ruled out natural causes.

The situation escalated when paddock fences were sabotaged, leading to the escape of six horses, one of which sustained physical injuries. Additionally, a veterinarian reported that a horse was found in critical condition due to poisoning.

Authorities have turned to the television program ‘Efterlyst’ to appeal for public assistance, as there are currently no suspects in the case. Local police are hoping the media coverage will generate new tips to help identify the perpetrators.
