Katseye: Wild Hearts documentary premieres in theaters

The documentary ‘Katseye: Wild Hearts’, directed by Nadia Hallgren, has premiered in theaters worldwide. The film provides a behind-the-scenes look at the pop group Katseye, following their journey from the competitive reality show ‘Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE’ (formerly ‘The Debut: Dream Academy’) to their current status as a rising musical act.

The production explores the personal lives of the six members—Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Meret Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung—covering topics such as the pressures of fame, physical and emotional exhaustion, and mental health. This is particularly relevant as two members, Meret Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza, are currently on indefinite hiatuses to focus on their health and well-being.

In addition to archival footage and rehearsal scenes, the documentary incorporates content from the group’s fanbase, known as ‘Eyekons’. The release serves as a prelude to the group’s third EP, titled ‘Wild’, which is scheduled for release this Friday.
