KATSEYE's Sophia to return from hiatus in January 2027

KATSEYE Sophia Laforteza Manon Bannerman HYBE hiatus

HYBE and Geffen have announced that KATSEYE member Sophia Laforteza will resume group activities in the first week of January 2027. The update follows her hiatus announcement in August, which was intended to prioritize her mental health and wellness.

Sophia will not participate in the remainder of the ‘WILDWORLD Tour’ in North America or any other promotional activities for the rest of 2026. While the company provided a specific timeline for her return, the announcement has drawn criticism from fans regarding the lack of information concerning fellow member Manon Bannerman.

Manon has been on hiatus since February 2026. Despite previous assurances from Manon that she is healthy, fans have expressed frustration over the prolonged silence and lack of official updates regarding her future status with the group.
