Katsina State Governor Radda highlights development and education investments

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda has highlighted significant developmental strides as the state marks its 39th anniversary. Following a period of instability caused by terrorism, which impacted trade, farming, and education, the administration is focusing on a ‘Building Your Future’ agenda to restore security and economic confidence.

A major pillar of this administration is education, with ₦120 billion invested in the sector. Achievements include the construction of 170 junior secondary schools, the rehabilitation of 300 schools, and the renovation of 150 primary schools. To modernize learning, the governor established ICT and computer-based test centers, alongside Model and Smart Secondary Schools equipped with robotic laboratories, artificial intelligence facilities, and 24-hour electricity.

The administration’s broader strategy aims to address the needs of a growing population through investments in healthcare, agriculture, roads, and economic empowerment for women, youth, and small businesses across all 34 local government areas.
