Katsina State windstorm razes 200 homes and shops

A windstorm accompanied by heavy rainfall struck the Dangamau community in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State, Nigeria, destroying more than 200 houses, shops and other property and displacing many families.

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda expressed sympathy for the victims, stating that the state government would provide immediate relief, including food, temporary shelter and essential items. He directed relevant agencies to assess the damage and deploy emergency response teams, urging residents to cooperate and remain calm while recovery efforts begin.
