Katsuhiko Taguchi maintains overall lead in AXCR 2026

In the 2026 Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR), Katsuhiko Taguchi and Takahiro Yasui of Team Mitsubishi Rally Art have maintained their position at the top of the overall standings. Following Leg 5, the duo holds a 5-minute and 21-second lead over their competitors.

While Taguchi's team continues to defend its lead, the competition remains intense among Mitsubishi, Toyota, and Isuzu. Mana Ponsirichard of Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand secured the win in Special Stage 5. Meanwhile, defending champion Chayapon Yodtor faced setbacks due to mechanical issues and a previous collision, dropping to 7th place overall.

The rally moves into its final stage, Leg 6, with the championship battle between the leading Mitsubishi team and chasing Toyota and Isuzu vehicles expected to intensify.
