Katsuki Motodaka discusses academic award at drama press conference

Katsuki Motodaka, a member of the eight-person group B&ZAI, attended a press conference for the TV Tokyo drama ‘Tsuma wo Intai Shimasu’ (I Will Retire as a Wife). During the event, Motodaka reflected on a past mistake regarding communication with his management.

He recalled an incident from four years ago when he received an award for a research paper but failed to report it to his agency. This led to speculation that the academic achievement was a slight against the company. Motodaka noted that he applied the lesson learned from that experience when he recently received the ‘Young Researcher Award’ from an international academic journal, ensuring he reported it to his agency in advance.

Motodaka, who appears in the drama as the character Jun Kageyama, also shared his passion for fish, noting he holds a first-class certification in the Japan Fish Test. The drama, based on a popular electronic manga, follows a revenge story set within the entertainment industry.
