Katsuya opens first Philippine restaurant in Manila
Arcland Service Holdings has opened its first Philippine location for the tonkatsu specialty chain Katsuya. The new restaurant, Katsuya SM Megamall, opened on September 28, 2026, in the Ortigas Center district of Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
The company aims to use the Philippines as a strategic base to accelerate its overseas expansion within Southeast Asia, targeting a total of 50 stores in the country. Katsuya has been expanding internationally since 2012 with the goal of making tonkatsu a ‘world standard’ food.
Menu pricing in the Philippines is comparable to Japanese rates. For example, a regular Katsudon is priced at 268 pesos, while a Loin Katsu set is 368 pesos and Katsu Curry is 398 pesos.
