Katy Perry discusses split from Orlando Bloom and relationship with Justin Trudeau

Singer Katy Perry has spoken about her separation from actor Orlando Bloom and her subsequent relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Perry revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that the breakup, which occurred in the summer of 2025 after a nine-year relationship, was a difficult period. At the time the news became public, she was in Australia for her global tour, feeling isolated from her support system.

Perry and Bloom share a six-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. Reflecting on the end of her long-term relationship, Perry noted that the nine years provided important life lessons. Following the split, Perry began a relationship with Justin Trudeau. The pair were first linked in July after being seen together in Montreal, and they officially made their relationship public in October 2025. Perry described her new connection as the ‘epic’ and ‘legendary’ love she had long sought.
