Katy Perry reflects on breakup with Orlando Bloom

Singer Katy Perry has spoken about the end of her nine-year relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, describing it as perhaps the most difficult period of her life. The couple, who were engaged and share a six-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, decided to go their separate ways in the summer of 2025.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Perry shared that the breakup occurred while she was in Australia for her global tour, leaving her feeling isolated from her support system back home. Despite the challenges, she noted that the tour helped her rediscover her purpose.

Perry also revealed that during this time, she met her current partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. She described meeting him as the “greatest gift” from her tour and stated that she is now happier than ever.
