Kaufland and Wolt expand grocery delivery across six Czech cities

Retailer Kaufland and delivery platform Wolt are expanding their strategic partnership following a successful pilot phase. By the end of November, the grocery delivery service will be available across 19 Kaufland stores in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Plzeň, Olomouc, and Zlín.

The service offers approximately 10,500 items, including fresh produce, bakery goods, dairy, and drugstore products. Data from the pilot program in Prague indicated that customers use the service for full family shopping trips, with an average basket value of 800 CZK. Peak ordering times were identified between 16:30 and 19:00.

Kaufland CEO Sven Reinhard stated that the partnership connects the retailer's store network and assortment with modern logistics. Wolt's retail lead for Central Europe, Jakub Kacera, noted that the shopping patterns suggest customers are using the service for large family and weekend shops rather than just small top-up purchases.
