Kaufland donates fresh produce to Croatian primary schools

The retail chain Kaufland has launched the tenth anniversary of its ‘Kaufland school of fruit and vegetables’ project, providing weekly donations of fresh produce to primary schools in Croatia.

For the 2026/2027 school year, the initiative involves 60 primary schools across 37 cities. The program aims to support approximately 25,000 students by ensuring access to balanced nutritional habits from an early age. In addition to standard primary schools, six public institutions dedicated to educating children with developmental disabilities have also been selected as partners.

Each Kaufland store in Croatia and its logistics center has been paired with a partner school. To date, the project has donated nearly 1,300 tons of fresh fruit and vegetables.
