Kaufland explains the diverse manufacturing network behind K-Classic
Kaufland’s private label, K-Classic, comprises more than 2,000 different products ranging from dairy and baked goods to frozen items and personal care products. Because the brand is structured as a collection of goods from various sources, there is no single manufacturer behind the label.
Instead, K-Classic relies on a vast network of dozens of different companies. Some products are manufactured by well-known brand-name factories, while others originate from within the Schwarz Group, the parent company of both Kaufland and Lidl.
Specific suppliers identified across different categories include dairy producers such as Müller Milch and Ammerland, bakery suppliers like Coppenrath & Wiese and Leibniz, and frozen food brands including Frosta and Iglo. Other contributors include Rügen Fisch, Fuchs Gewürze, and Harry Brot.
