Kaufland opens new high-tech supermarket in Dačice

A new Kaufland supermarket has opened in Dačice, Czech Republic, marking the chain's 149th location in the country. The facility covers approximately 2,200 square meters and offers around 11,000 items, including products from regional suppliers in Vysočina and South Bohemia.

The store features advanced retail technologies, such as AI-powered scales in the produce department that use cameras to automatically recognize different types of fruits and vegetables. Other technological integrations include ten self-service checkouts, a PET bottle and can recycling machine, and the K-Scan mobile scanning service.
