Kaufland private label K-Classic uses major brand manufacturers

Kaufland’s primary private label, K-Classic, is produced by many of the same manufacturers that supply major name-brand products. This includes dairy products from Müller, cream cheese from Arla, and processed fish products from Iglo.

Kaufland, which is part of the Schwarz Group, manages over ten private labels including K-Bio and bevola. The company has implemented significant price reductions, lowering costs on over 4,000 items in 2024 and an additional 2,700 products in 2025.

Several K-Classic products have received high marks from Stiftung Warentest, including mineral water, cat food, and dishwashing tablets. In the European food retail market, the market share for private labels reached 38 percent in 2024.
