Kaulis raises earnings forecast as Katsuura Town launches reuse initiative
Kaulis (153A) has upwardly revised its full-year earnings forecast for the period ending December 2026. The company reported a 21.8% increase in revenue and a 27% increase in operating profit for the second quarter. This growth is attributed to higher-than-expected new customer acquisition and cross-selling of its primary service, ‘Fraud Alert’, which shares information on fraudulent users with financial institutions. Additionally, the company’s ‘Grid Data KYC’ service is expanding its transaction volume.
In a separate development, Katsuura Town in Tokushima Prefecture has entered into an agreement with Market Enterprise to launch a reuse initiative starting August 31, 2026. Utilizing the ‘Oikura’ platform, the partnership aims to reduce waste and promote a circular economy by allowing residents to easily sell unwanted items through a centralized appraisal system. This initiative is designed to alleviate the town's waste disposal costs and the difficulties associated with sorting large-scale refuse.
