Kaunas hosts mental health awareness and education award events

The Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas has hosted two distinct community-focused events.

On October 29, the seventh ‘Renkuosi gyventi’ event, organized by the NGO ‘Gerumo rankos’, will take place to raise awareness regarding violence and suicide prevention. The program features psychological experts, religious leaders, and public figures such as actor Giedrius Savickas and psychologist Valija Šap. The event includes educational talks, open discussions on emotional health, musical performances by various choirs and orchestras, and a fair providing free consultations with psychologists and spiritual advisors.

Additionally, the Kaunas education community held a celebration on October 13 to honor local educators. Five teachers were named ‘Teachers of the Year’ for their contributions to creative teaching and student well-being. For the first time, three educational institution leaders were also recognized with ‘Leader of the Year’ awards for their ability to foster community and implement educational changes.
