Kaunas hosts ninth Kultūrų sodas cultural diversity festival

The ninth edition of the Kultūrų sodas festival is currently taking place in Kaunas, Lithuania, celebrating the nation's cultural diversity and the various communities that have shaped the city's history. Organized by the Kaunas Various Nations Cultural Centre in partnership with the Historical Presidential Palace, the festival features a program of public events, lectures, and guided tours.

The festival focuses on immersive encounters with local traditions and histories rather than simple stage performances. Scheduled activities include themed walks exploring German industrial heritage, the history of the Tatar, Roma, Karaite, Old Believer, Evangelical Lutheran, and Jewish communities, as well as visits to the local mosque and choral synagogue. The program also includes unique thematic excursions, such as exploring connections between Kaunas and ancient Egypt.
