Kaunas IN launches interactive Fluxus art route

The agency ‘Kaunas IN’ has introduced a new interactive route titled ‘Kaunas as a Game’ as part of its ‘It’s Kaunastic’ series. The initiative is designed to coincide with the upcoming FLUXUS festival scheduled for September 19.

Developed in collaboration with the Kaunas Art Gallery, which houses the Fluxus cabinet, and the Kaunas Artists' House, the guide explores the childhood city of Jurgis Mačiūnas, the father of the Fluxus movement. The route consists of 15 stops, featuring illustrations by artist Gita Balžekaitė.

Visitors can explore historical facts and receive specific instructions or ‘scores’ intended to encourage creative thinking. The route includes locations such as the Amsterdam School Museum, which served as the family home of Mačiūnas, and the Kaunas Art Gallery.
