Kaunas launches ‘avanTuristai’ adventure tourism project

In celebration of World Tourism Day on September 27, the city of Kaunas has relaunched the ‘avanTuristai’ project. The initiative encourages travelers to step outside their comfort zones through unplanned adventures, such as visiting secret dining locations or staying in hotels with unknown names.

According to Raimonda Patapavičienė, head of tourism and marketing at Kaunas IN, the project has gained momentum as local businesses are increasingly eager to participate. This year, Kaunas has prepared 300 different adventures, ranging from gourmet discoveries in local cafes and restaurants to escape rooms, bowling, and virtual reality experiences.
