Kaunas motorcyclists stage provocation during Friday prayers

Approximately 100 motorcyclists engaged in a provocative demonstration near the Kaunas Mosque in Lithuania during Friday prayers. The group gathered near a park entrance, revving engines loudly, playing music, and shouting racial slogans. Witnesses reported that the group also displayed a severed pig's head near the mosque.

Police deployed additional units to the area to assess risks and prevent clashes between groups, though the incident concluded without serious physical conflict. Odeta Vaitkeviciene, spokesperson for the Kaunas Police Department, stated that administrative proceedings have been initiated against several individuals for violating laws regarding the organization of meetings and events. These violations may result in fines ranging from 30 to 150 euros.

Furthermore, authorities have launched a criminal investigation into certain individuals under statutes governing hate speech and incitement. The local Muslim community expressed significant distress over the actions, which appeared to be pre-planned to disrupt religious worship.
