Kauno kolegija Alytus faculty sees 35% increase in new students

The Alytus faculty of Kauno kolegija has commenced the new academic year with a 35 percent increase in first-year students compared to the previous year. A total of 243 new students have enrolled in various programs.

The largest intake is in General Practice Nursing with 71 students, followed by Pre-school and Early Childhood Education (43), Social Work (34), Physiotherapy (26), and Organizational Management (21). New study programs have also been introduced, including Gastronomy and Entrepreneurship, alongside groups for Cyber Systems and Security, Furniture Engineering, and Structural Engineering Systems.

During the opening ceremony, Alytus Mayor Nerijus Cesiulis and faculty dean Dr. Mindaugas Samuolaitis addressed the community. The Mayor encouraged students to pursue knowledge for personal growth and self-improvement rather than just for diplomas or parental expectations.
