Kavadarci hosts annual Tikveski Grozdober festival
The annual Tikveski Grozdober economic, tourism, and cultural festival has officially commenced in Kavadarci, North Macedonia. The event celebrates the region's status as the country's largest viticulture area.
To mark the opening, a traditional grape harvest table was set up in the center of the city, featuring local specialties such as grapes, wine, rakija, madjun, and traditional Kavadarci delicacies. Dr. Stojanco Ramov, President of the Kavadarci Municipal Council, noted that preparations were completed to ensure a high-quality experience for both citizens and visitors.
The three-day program includes several key activities:
• A carnival parade featuring various groups from the country and abroad is scheduled for Saturday. • A children's carnival and a musical program will take place on Sunday. • Cultural events include a ceremony and monograph promotion at the Museum Gallery to celebrate its 50th anniversary. • Sports and social activities, such as the 'Sestri Kitevi' tournament and a parade by the pensioners' association, are also part of the agenda.
