Kavala launches major gas pipeline and road construction projects for 2026

The municipal utility Enaon EDA will carry out a two‑week gas‑pipeline installation in Kavala from 1 to 15 August 2026, excavating and laying pipelines on eleven main streets and connecting supplies at eighteen specific locations.

Separately, the Kavala municipality has announced an open tender for a new 1.675‑km arterial road in the Perigialios area. The €7.25 million project, partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will be tendered on 7 September 2026, with contracts awarded by 10 September. Construction is slated to begin on 1 December 2026 and last about two years, featuring a 24‑metre‑wide carriageway, multiple lanes, sidewalks and four circular junctions.
