Kawa no aru Kurashi launches smart key compatible mini wallet
The Chiba-based leather workshop Kawa no aru Kurashi has launched a crowdfunding project on Makuake for its new product, the ‘Kotowari L-zip mini’. This compact wallet is designed to integrate a smart key into a small, palm-sized organizer, eliminating the need to carry a separate key case.
The wallet features a unique ‘floating coin case’ structure, which creates additional space for a smart key. This design allows users to store banknotes without folding them by sliding them beneath the smart key. The product is currently undergoing the patent application process for four distinct structural features, including the floating coin case and a flexible space structure.
Made from Loro Piana leather, the wallet can hold approximately one smart key, 4–6 cards, 15–20 banknotes, 20 coins, and one analog key. The crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to run from September 6 to November 29, 2026.
