Kawaguchi Haruna and Takasugi Makoto Film 'Mama ga mou kono sekai ni inakute' Releases Scene Photos

The Japanese feature film "Mama ga mou kono sekai ni inakute watashi no inochi no nikki" (English: "Even If Mom Is No Longer in This World: My Life Diary") will open nationwide on 2 October 2026. It stars Kawaguchi Haruna as Endo Kaz and Takasugi Makoto as her husband Shōichi, and adapts Kaz Endo’s best‑selling memoir about his fight against stage‑IV colon cancer and his family’s love.

Scene photographs released by the production committee show intimate moments – Shōichi drying Kaz’s hair with a dryer, Kaz confronting her illness in a hospital bed, and supportive friends and siblings. The images are intended to promote the film ahead of its theatrical debut across Japan.
