Kawasaki and Policlinico Gemelli partner on medical robotics

Kawasaki Heavy Industries has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS to collaborate on next-generation healthcare solutions. The partnership focuses on developing medical robotics, robotics for healthcare processes such as mobility and logistics, and digital transformation technologies applied to the medical sector.

The agreement involves cooperation with the Kawasaki Innovation Centre Europe SAS (KIC-EU) based in Strasbourg, France. A key component of the MoU is the establishment of a permanent joint development hub within the Gemelli hospital. This hub will support development activities, proof of concept projects, and validation initiatives aimed at improving patient care and optimizing resources through robotic and digital technologies.
