Kawasaki announces 2027 Ninja 1100SX updates

Kawasaki has announced updates for its Ninja 1100SX and Ninja 1100SX SE models for the 2027 season. The updates primarily focus on new aesthetic options, including color schemes such as Plasma Lime Green and Pearl Stardust White.

Mechanically, the motorcycles retain their 1,099cc liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engines, producing approximately 136 PS (100 kW). The SE version continues to feature premium components, including Brembo M4.32 monoblock calipers, steel-braided brake lines, and an Öhlins S46 rear shock with a remote preload adjuster.

Both models are designed for sport touring, featuring an aluminum frame, inverted front forks, and electronic rider aids managed by an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), such as traction control and cornering management. The standard model includes a quick-shifter and electronic cruise control.

Separately, discussions regarding the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 electric motorcycle highlight its position in the market. While offering a sporty design, some critics note its performance specifications, such as a maximum power of 12 PS, may align more closely with scooter-style utility than traditional high-performance sportbikes.
