Kawasaki announces 2027 updates for Ninja 650 and KLR650 models

Kawasaki has announced several updates for its 2027 motorcycle lineup, including significant mechanical and technological improvements to the Ninja 650 ABS and new variations for the KLR650 series.

The Ninja 650 ABS will feature an upgraded suspension system, including a new Showa 37mm SFF-BP inverted front fork and revised rear damping settings to improve cornering stability. Braking performance is enhanced with the addition of radial-mount four-piston front calipers and recalibrated ABS. Digital updates include expanded smartphone connectivity for navigation and voice commands, alongside an updated 4.3-inch TFT color instrument panel. For the first time, the model will also include a Kawasaki Quick Shifter.

For the KLR650 dual-purpose adventure series, Kawasaki is introducing the “KLR650 DF ABS” grade in North America. This new trim features a rugged aesthetic with black-finished components, handguards, a large rear carrier, and frame sliders. The 2027 KLR650 lineup also includes the standard model, the low-seat “S” version, and the “ADVENTURE ABS” trim. The KLR650 models are expected to go on sale in the United States starting in early December.
