Kawasaki unveils 2027 Versys 900 sport-touring motorcycle
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2027 Versys 900, a new middleweight sport-touring motorcycle designed to bridge the gap between the Versys 650 and the Versys 1100. Described as the most sporting model in the Versys lineage, it features a 948cc inline-four engine derived from the Z900 series, producing approximately 122 hp and 97.3 Nm of torque.
The motorcycle introduces a completely new steel trellis frame designed to balance rigidity with front-end feedback, aiming for a near 50:50 weight distribution. It is equipped with 17-inch wheels and Metzeler Roadtec 01 tires, emphasizing road-focused performance over off-road capability.
A major highlight is the inclusion of the Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) package, marking the first time such technology has been available in the Versys range. This system includes radar-based adaptive cruise control (ACC Lite), blind-spot detection, and forward collision warning. Other standard features include a quickshifter, traction control, and multiple riding modes. The model is expected to arrive in various global markets throughout 2027.
