Kawasaki tests new Versys 900 adventure sport motorcycle

Kawasaki is currently testing a new Versys 900 model, designed to bridge the gap between the Versys 650 and the Versys 1100. Test images indicate the motorcycle will likely utilize the 948 cc inline four-cylinder engine from the Z900.

While official specifications have not been released, the engine is expected to produce approximately 125 hp (92 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 99 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm. The bike is being developed as a sport-touring model rather than a traditional adventure bike, featuring 17-inch alloy wheels and road-oriented tires. Other visible features include long-travel suspension and a dual-disc braking system on the front, similar to the current Versys 1100.
