Kawasaki unveils updated Z900RS BlackBall and CAFE motorcycles for 2026‑27

At the Japan Mobility Show in October 2025, Kawasaki introduced the Z900RS Black Ball Edition and Z900RS CAFE, both now part of the 2026 model range. Domestic sales of the BlackBall edition began in February 2026. While the classic exterior shape remains, the motorcycles feature extensive internal revisions, including upgraded engine components and new electronic control technologies aimed at better handling and increased power.

On 1 July 2026 Kawasaki announced the 2027‑model Z900RS CAFE, slated for release on 1 August 2027. It retains the 948 cc liquid‑cooled inline‑four engine, now paired with an electronic throttle valve, a Bosch‑sourced inertial measurement unit, cornering‑management and traction‑control functions, a quick‑shifter, and electronic cruise control. The CAFE adopts a cafe‑racer aesthetic with a new “Candy Tone Red” paint scheme and other visual updates. It is priced at ¥1.54 million, tax included.
