Kawasaki wins inaugural WorldSPB Manufacturers’ Title

Kawasaki has become the first manufacturer to win the FIM World Sportbike Championship (WorldSPB) Manufacturers’ Title. The company secured the championship during Race 1 of the EICMA Italian Round, accumulating 282 points and maintaining a 79-point lead over Triumph with three races remaining in the season.

Four riders contributed to the title win: David Salvador and Antonio Torres of Team ProDina Kawasaki XCI, and Loris Veneman and Xavi Artigas of MTM Kawasaki. David Salvador has been the highest-scoring rider for the manufacturer and currently leads the Riders’ Championship.

This victory marks Kawasaki's expansion of manufacturer titles across multiple production-based racing categories, including WorldSBK, WorldSSP, WorldSSP300, and now WorldSPB. Shigemi Tanaka, Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, noted that the transition from the Ninja 400 to the Ninja ZX-6R 636 was a key strategic decision that drove the team's success in this inaugural season.
