Kayalı Yavuz regains mobility through specialized sports training

Kayalı Yavuz, an 82-year-old woman living in Bağcılar, has regained the ability to walk without a cane following a specialized 10-month sports training program. Yavuz had previously relied on a cane due to balance issues caused by Parkinson's disease.

The rehabilitation took place at the Bağcılar Municipality Vefahâne Life Center. Under the guidance of sports instructor Gül Yorulmaz, Yavuz followed a tailored exercise regimen designed to address her specific physical limitations.

Yavuz credited the program and the support of the municipality, including Mayor Yasin Yıldız, for her improved mobility. She stated that the exercises helped resolve the muscle stiffness and movement restrictions associated with her condition, significantly enhancing her quality of life.
