Kaylia Nemour wins double gold at World Gymnastics Championships
Algerian gymnast Kaylia Nemour secured two gold medals at the 2026 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam. After a setback in the vault that impacted her all-around medal prospects, Nemour won gold on the uneven bars and followed it with a victory on the balance beam.
On the balance beam, Nemour achieved a score of 14.566, tying with China's Zhang Qingyang but winning the gold based on a higher execution score. Her uneven bars victory also saw her score 14.566, edging out Zhang in a similar fashion. Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune publicly congratulated Nemour for making the nation proud.
