Kayseri announces 60 million euro wastewater infrastructure project

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç has announced a major infrastructure investment for the Kayseri Water and Sewerage Administration (KASKİ). Following a meeting to evaluate 2026 investments, Büyükkılıç detailed a project for an advanced biological wastewater treatment plant.

The project is backed by approximately 60 million euros in financing sourced from the Islamic Development Bank and İller Bankası, with support from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. Once completed, the facility is expected to double the current wastewater treatment capacity, providing necessary services for approximately 1.25 million people.
