Kayseri Chamber of Industry outlines strategic goals and leadership changes

Mehmet Büyüksimitci, President of the Kayseri Chamber of Industry (KAYSO), has announced strategic priorities for the 2026-2030 period. During the October assembly meeting, Büyüksimitci emphasized a focus on increasing industrial competitiveness through artificial intelligence, digitalization, high-value-added production, and export development.

Assembly President Abidin Özkaya highlighted significant challenges facing the industrial sector, noting a decline in industry's share of national income from 28% to below 15% over the last decade. He cited rising commodity and freight costs, regional conflicts, and intense competition from China as factors making it difficult for Turkish firms to compete in international markets.

In a separate organizational development, Mustafa Ateş has been appointed as the new president of the İncesu Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) by KAYSO, replacing İrfan Püsküllü. The appointment was made by the Chamber due to insufficient member numbers within the zone.
