A fatal shooting occurred in the Melikgazi district of Kayseri following a dispute between two individuals with a pre-existing grudge. The incident took place at a coffeehouse on Kaynak Street in the Keykubat neighborhood.
During the argument, a coffeehouse employee identified as O. Ö. opened fire on 47-year-old Erol Koyuncu using a shotgun. Koyuncu sustained severe injuries to his abdomen and was transported to Kayseri City Hospital. Despite medical interventions, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. His body was transferred to the Kayseri Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.
Following the attack, the suspect, O. Ö., fled the scene but later surrendered to a local police station along with the weapon used. Law enforcement has launched a formal investigation into the motive behind the long-standing animosity and the circumstances of the shooting.
