Kayseri completes first stage of geothermal greenhouse zone infrastructure

Infrastructure works for the first stage of the Kocasinan Geothermal-Based Greenhouse Organized Agricultural Zone in Kayseri have been completed. Under the auspices of the Kayseri Governor's Office and led by the Kayseri Commodity Exchange (KTB), the project has finalized essential utilities including roads, drinking water, sewage, rainwater systems, and electricity.

The project aims to integrate geothermal energy with modern greenhouse technologies to enable continuous, high-yield, and controlled production throughout the year. This initiative is expected to create a strong value chain spanning production, packaging, logistics, and export, contributing significantly to the local economy and employment.

Recep Bağlamış, Chairman of the Kayseri Commodity Exchange, stated that the completion of the first stage marks a transition from planning to active investment, as investors have begun arriving on-site to establish production facilities.
