Kayseri: Father and son stab each other during dispute

A violent altercation occurred in the Melikgazi district of Kayseri, Turkey, involving a father and son. The dispute reportedly began while the two were returning home from a wedding, triggered by a disagreement over “cigarette money.”

The verbal argument escalated into a physical fight where both individuals attacked each other with knives on Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Street in the Şirintepe neighborhood. Police officers arrived at the scene and were forced to use pepper spray to neutralize the combatants and disarm them.

Following the incident, the son, identified as A. O., was transported to Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The father, M. O., was taken to Kayseri City Hospital for treatment. Local authorities and the prosecutor's office have launched an investigation into the incident.
