Kayseri Fire Department marks 100th anniversary with memorial forest

The Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has established the Fire Department 100th Year Memorial Forest near the Sarımsaklı Dam to commemorate the centenary of the local fire department's founding.

As part of the ‘Greener Kayseri’ vision led by Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, 500 saplings were planted during the event. Fire department personnel, along with their families and children, participated in the planting to promote environmental awareness and nature conservation among the younger generation.

The initiative aims to contribute to the city's green infrastructure while honoring the century-long history of the fire service. Each sapling was tagged with nameplates and supported by stakes to ensure healthy growth.
