Kayseri hosts 4th Gastronomy Days featuring local specialties

The 4th Kayseri Gastronomy Days is scheduled to take place from October 22 to 25 at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Millet Bahçesi. The event aims to promote the city's rich culinary culture and support local tradespeople by showcasing regional flavors alongside diverse culinary traditions from other cities.

A central highlight of the festival is the serving of one ton of 'börek aşı' (a traditional pastry soup) to visitors. The event will feature panels on topics such as female entrepreneurship in gastronomy, branding, and the use of local products in tourism. Renowned chefs, including Somer Sivrioğlu and Mehmet Yalçınkaya, are expected to participate.

In addition to culinary showcases, the festival will include cooking competitions for high school and university students, as well as activities tailored for housewives and children. The organization seeks to increase the visibility of geographically indicated local products.
