Kayseri and Trabzon host major gastronomy festivals

The cities of Kayseri and Trabzon in Turkey are hosting large-scale gastronomy festivals aimed at promoting regional culinary heritage and boosting tourism.

In Kayseri, the 4th Gastronomy Days, organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, took place at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Millet Bahçesi. The event featured traditional flavors such as tandır böreği, gül baklavası, and Nevzine. Beyond food, the festival included panels on the future of cuisine, workshops with master chefs, and musical performances by the Turkic World Music Ensemble, celebrating the city's status as the 2027 Turkic World Culture Capital.

Simultaneously, the Trabzon Gastronomy Festival commenced with a parade involving local officials, chefs, and citizens. The festival, which runs until November 1, focuses on the professional presentation of Black Sea cuisine. Scheduled activities include a record attempt for stretching kuymak, workshops with renowned chefs like Arda Türkmen, and various musical concerts.
