Kayseri Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç Engages Citizens in Talas Q&A Event

Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç of Kayseri took part in the "Vatandaş Soruyor, Başkan Cevaplıyor" programme held in Talas, meeting residents to hear their requests and suggestions. Accompanied by local officials, he listened to citizens’ concerns about services, transportation projects and neighbourhood needs. Büyükkılıç emphasized the city’s participatory approach, saying, "Bugün burada konuşmaktan ziyade dinlemeye odaklandık. Sorulan her soruya açık yüreklilikle cevap veriyoruz," and stressed that "istişare"—joint deliberation—is central to municipal governance. The event continued a tradition of direct mayor‑citizen dialogue that has been running for over four years, with officials noting the importance of muhtars in relaying neighbourhood feedback.
