Kayseri leads Turkish cities in hosting cultural graduation ceremonies

In June 2026 Turkish municipalities organized a series of cultural and educational celebrations across the country. Kayseri's Büyükşehir Belediyesi Konservatuvar held a children’s graduation concert and certificate ceremony at the Kadir Has Cultural and Art Center, attended by mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç and local officials. In Denizli, the Pamukkale Halk Eğitimi Merkezi presented a year‑end exhibition of hand‑made works followed by a Turkish folk‑music concert. Mersin’s Yenice district hosted a commemorative evening for folk poet Aşık Sıdki Baba, featuring musicologists and local choirs. Ümraniye district in Istanbul arranged a boat tour on the Bosphorus for about 4,500 graduating high‑school seniors, providing meals and music to boost exam‑time morale. Muğla’s Sıtkı Koçman University held a tourism‑faculty graduation ceremony attended by industry representatives, while Sivas Cumhuriyet University celebrated its communication‑faculty graduates. All events highlighted municipal support for arts, education and community cohesion.
