Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality signs disaster resilience protocol

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Kayseri Provincial Coordination Board have signed a Technical, Scientific, and Professional Cooperation Protocol. The agreement aims to reduce disaster risks, strengthen technical expertise, and build a more resilient city.

The protocol covers all stages of disaster management, including pre-disaster risk reduction, technical support during emergencies, and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction. A key component of the initiative is the creation of a voluntary ‘Technical Expert and Volunteer Pool’ coordinated by TMMOB to integrate professional expertise with municipal response efforts.

Additionally, the partnership will facilitate joint training programs, workshops, seminars, field applications, and drills for municipal staff, professional chamber members, volunteers, and students to enhance technical knowledge and disaster awareness.
