Kayseri opens 74th ERVA Sports School to combat juvenile crime

The 74th branch of the ERVA Sports Schools Project, the İNOVDER ERVA Sports School, has officially opened in Kayseri. The project, initiated by the Kayseri Governorate, has expanded to 74 different neighborhoods and schools, currently serving 18,250 young athletes.

During the opening ceremony, Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek highlighted the social impact of the initiative. He stated that the province is experiencing a historic decline in juvenile crime rates in 2026. Çiçek emphasized that the project aims to protect youth from drug traffickers and criminal influences by engaging them in sports and fostering national values.
