Kayseri police crack down on driver‑license fraud and illegal driving

Police investigations coordinated by the Kayseri Prosecutor’s Office uncovered a scheme in which applicants used artificial‑intelligence‑generated images to falsify identity documents and obtain driver’s licences in six provinces. Fifteen of the 20 suspects were arrested and charged with forgery of official documents.

In a separate enforcement action, Kayseri traffic authorities fined 174 drivers who continued to drive after their licences had been temporarily or permanently revoked. The penalties totalled 34.8 million Turkish lira, with additional fines imposed for related violations such as illegal exhaust modifications and use of mobile phones while driving.
